NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
A request for a Special General Meeting (SGM) signed by three Basketball Hawthorn (BH) Members has been received.
Monday 5 September 2022 at 7:00pm to be held electronically via Zoom
Note: Zoom link will be provided (on the morning of the SGM) to those who RSVP via the form below
The request is in accordance with BH Constitution Clause 14 (4) and (5) and outlines the objective to conduct elections for Director roles on the BH Board.
No other business is to be conducted at the Special General Meeting
In accordance with Clauses 22 (3) and 24 (1) nominations are now called for 9 vacant Director positions on the Board
- Election of Directors
(1) Nominations of candidates for election as Directors of the Association must be:
(a) made in writing, signed by two members of the Association and accompanied by the written consent of the candidate (which may be endorsed on the form of nomination); and
(b) delivered to the Secretary of the Association not less than seven (7) days before the date fixed for the holding of the Annual General Meeting.

IMPORTANT – Form Completion Instructions: The webform for nominations needs each section completed by different individuals. A section can be completed, signed and then hit SAVE (bottom right corner), which creates a unique URL/form link which can be copied and sent direct (or emailed) to the nominee to accept, sign and save, then onto two members to sign and SUBMIT (bottom left corner) (form resumes from when it was saved).
Under Clause 23 of the BH Constitution, once elected the Board will appoint a Chairperson and a Secretary.
Nominations for a Board position will close at 5pm on Monday 29 August 2022 and will only be received on the form provided.
No proxy or postal votes are allowed.
