FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
With the 2019 Basketball Australia National Club Championships tipping-off today in Ballarat, Basketball Hawthorn is pleased to release its new look following the extensive rebrand that was launched in July.
Basketball Hawthorn has taken the opportunity to roll out the Association’s new look at the Basketball Australia’s national Under 14 event ensuring an immediate impact within the basketball community.
With a new apparel partner in AND1 Australia, the new look features a navy blue and white palate with highlights of green that is synonymous with the Magic Program.
The new look and feel, along with new apparel and merchandise, will be implemented across the Magic Program from Under 12s to Senior Men and Women, whilst incorporating Coaches, Team Managers and Administration (Staff).
Basketball Hawthorn, General Manager, Brock Rogers is excited to finally unveil the new look for the Magic Program.
“A large amount of collaboration and consultation has gone into the rebrand and now the new look for the Association, and I am thrilled to finally be able to showcase it to the basketball community”.
“The new look will be unified across the Association; it doesn’t matter if you are little Johnny in your first year of Junior Magic, a US import in our Senior Women’s team or a Staff member, you will see the same look and feel”.
“By rolling it out at the Nationals, we have been able to reward and recognize the outstanding coaches and athletes that qualified for the Nationals, whilst most efficiently implementing the new look” said Rogers.
Basketball Hawthorn will be represented by two teams (Boys & Girls) at the Nationals for the first time in Program history after both teams qualified successfully via the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL).
Basketball Hawthorn is hoping for strong results at the National event following the recent success of both teams in the 2018/19 VJBL competition.
“Both teams won their respective Under 14 VJBL Championship Grand Finals last week, giving them the title of ‘best in the State’, and lots of confidence heading into the week-long event” Said Rogers.
The girls commence their Nationals campaign at 1pm (Monday) against Queensland team, Gold Coast Waves, whilst the boys also commence their tournament against a Queensland side taking on Southern Districts Spartans at 2pm (Monday).
Basketball Hawthorn would like to wish both teams the best of luck at the 2019 Basketball Australian National Club Championships in Ballarat.
Basketball Hawthorn will continue to release details of its new look uniform and merchandise over the next few months in the lead up to the 2019/20 VJBL season and 2020 Big V Season.
