The HBA is pleased to release Round 5 fixtures for the Junior Domestic Competition.
Round 5 is the final round of Grading. Following the action this weekend, fixtures for the remainder of the season (Rounds 6-16) will be released on Tuesday (22 May).
Thank you for your patience as we try something new with the Grading period. This season we trialled rolling fixtures for Rounds 4 & 5 to help gather more appropriate and accurate data for grading purposes. This meant moving teams around prior to the end of the 5 week grading period.
The HBA acknowledges that week by week fixtures are not ideal, but accept that it is a common practice within sport during grading periods.
The HBA also believe that we are in a unique situation compared to other sports, in that our games are generally played within the one municipality (Boroondara) and age groups/divisions roughly play around the same time each week.
Following this process, the HBA will endeavour to a seek feedback from clubs, teams and members about the trial change to the grading process.
