Pete comes to Hawthorn following 10 years and over 300 games in the senior men’s program at Kilsyth (2006 – 2015), where he was the SEABL Assistant Coach for 8 seasons, Head Coach of their youth men for 3 seasons and also coached their under 20 men for 1 season. In season 2016 Pete was the Head Coach of Keilor’s Big V men.
As a Head Coach Pete has coached in 3 Championship games winning 2 Championships in the past 4 seasons, and has a Big V head coaching win rate of 70%.
Pete’s recent awards include Basketball Victoria Coach of the Year 2015, and Big V VYC Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2015.

Hawthorn is looking to invest in our Men’s and Women’s Big V programs to bring them the same success that our Junior Magic program has enjoyed for a number of years now. This appointment of Pete compliments the recent appointments of Jai Cesari and Lloyd Klaman to the Women’s Big V and Youth League teams and the reappointment of Shawn King to the Men’s Youth League team.
