The re-grading meeting for the 2016 junior winter season took place on Sunday night. In conjunction with the HBA, delegates from the major clubs discussed the results from the pre-season/grading period and came up with the final allocation of teams to sections for the winter season.
The HBA would like to thank all of the club delegates for the time and effort that they put in, not only during this process (on Mother’s Day of all days) but in running their respective clubs throughout the year. As you may know, the HBA was named by Basketball Victoria as the Basketball Association of the Year last week and the contribution of the club delegates towards this cannot be understated.
Fixtures for rounds 4 and 5 (first two rounds of the regular season) are now online. Fixtures for the rest of the season will be published over the next two weeks.
During the re-grading process, where there was movement of teams and the number of teams in that section remained the same, the team(s) coming in have taken the place in the fixture pattern of the team(s) going out; where the number of teams in a particular section changed, a brand new fixture pattern has been established.
