Basketball Hawthorn is pleased to announce, in response to State Government and Basketball Victoria guidelines, resumption of basketball competitions and programs from Thursday 18 February.
Members can view the update regarding the end of the ‘circuit breaker’ of Victorian Stage 4 restrictions as announced today (Wednesday 17 February) by the Victorian Government and Department of Health.
Additionally, Basketball Victoria has announced that basketball will be able to recommence across the state from Wednesday 17 February at 11.59pm at a COVID-Safe level according to the Return to Sport Guidelines (Version 10 / 17 February).
Venue density limits will apply, members will need to maintain social distancing where possible, continue to follow hygiene practices, and observe venue signage and use QR codes.
Masks are not required while on court during games for players and referees participating in an exertive role, however, must be worn while not playing and on entry and exit of stadium. Coaches (including during games) and all other patrons over 12 years of age – must wear a mask at all times while indoors unless medically exempt.
