The Magic Project Group is a group of members from the Basketball Hawthorn Association that are passionate about our club.
The group was formed following an Expression of Interest by Basketball Victoria in April 2022 seeking volunteer assistance from the Basketball Hawthorn community.
Moving forward, the intention of the Magic Project Group is to nominate as members of the Basketball Hawthorn Board at the upcoming Special General Meeting to be held on Monday 5th September 2022 at 7pm. There are 9 members of the Magic Project Group nominating for all 9 vacant Board positions. Once a new Board has been appointed, the new Board will again manage the affairs of Basketball Hawthorn in place of Basketball Victoria who will no longer manage Basketball Hawthorn.
If elected as the new Board, we will dedicate our efforts towards returning Basketball Hawthorn to the great club it has always been. In doing so, Hawthorn Magic teams will be entered into the 2022/23 VJBL season and beyond. The new Board will also continue running and growing the BH Senior Domestic competition. Details regarding the 2022/23 VJBL season will follow shortly. In the meantime, if there are any enquiries, please contact hawthornmagicbasketball@gmail.com
